BBC Country File
BBS were delighted to work with BBC Country File Programme makers on an exciting episode that was trailed on 20th September featuring our very own winner of this year’s BBS Awareness Award, young Cameron Allen aged 13. The show launched BBC Children in Need’s big idea for fundraising this year. A nationwide ramble to take place 10th and 11th October. Cameron and his family spoke about living with OI the trials and tribulations of having OI. Cameron shone through as a determined and ambitious young boy – taking parts in sports at his local school, getting out and about in the beautiful picturesque village of Appin, Argyll and Bute where the family are lucky to live. Mum Heather is really looking forward to the family’s ramble with none other than John Craven. Stop press . . . as this goes to print we are sorry to report that Cameron experienced a bad break to his femur. Mum Heather mentioned how Cameron always wanted to experience being in a rescue helicopter but hadn’t quite wanted it this badly!! We all send our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
