BBS Scientific Symposium Feb 24th 2017, was an historic day bringing together the finest Healthcare Professionals from all over the UK to talk about OI and included speakers from Sweden and Canada. Featuring: Professor Francis Glorieux sponsored by our good friends the OIF in the USA, Professor Nick Shaw of BCH, Professor Nick Bishop Sheffield Chidlren's Hospital, Professor Lyn Chitty, London, Dr Richard Keen, London, Dr Fleur van Dijk, (Holland) London and Dr Henrik Wehtje of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
The event was hosted at Vice Chairman John Phillip’s prestigious conference suites at Jones Day in London and hosted by Mr Jonathon Little – partner at Jones Day who has been instrumental in providing various legal advice for some years. Chairman of the MAB Professor Nick Shaw was delighted with the success of the event as was our Chairman Elaine Healey.
Joanna Cannon representative serving on the Research Committee presented wishbone pins on behalf of the BBS to invited speakers and Joanna said she was honoured to be involved alongside the Healthcare Professionals in this exciting new research programme currently underway at the BBS.

Saturday 5th Dec 2015, Sheffield
The Sheffield Christmas part was held in conjunction with Sheffield's Children's Hospital. The event was tell attended not only by BBS kids, but also Santa, Elsa, and Spider-man!
Saturday 6th Dec 2014, Manchester
We held a Christmas Lunch at the Radisson Blu Hotel, at Manchester Airport.
Healthcare Specialist from the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital and Central Manchester University Hospital were in attendance.
During December 2013 we held Christmas Lunches in London, Chester, Perth and Athlone.
This was a great opportunity for members old and new to meet up with each other.
