Virtual Conference and AGM 2020

  • Posted on Jul 17, 2020

The Trustees of the Brittle Bone Society were delighted to be able to bring to you our first ever Virtual Conference and AGM the weekend of  the 5th September 2020.

It was wonderful to be able to engage with so many people who would not usually attend a face to face Conference. We had 157 people register for the weekend and 43% of you told us you had never been to a Conference before.

We would also like to thank everyone who took time to complete our feedback survey: 98.5% of you told us your overall experience of Conference was either excellent or good.  The full report can be viewed Conference-Feedback-.pdf.

All the talks from the weekend can be viewed on our youtube channel.

We would also like to thank all the Speakers and Facilitators who gave their time to provide our members with all the latest updates and information, without them the weekend would not have been possible.

Based on the feedback we received these are the main topics areas you have asked us to cover in the future.

Please note you can view our youtube channel for previous talks on Pain, Fractures, Mental Health and much more.  We also have a series of Pilates video’s which can assist with Pain, and see our factsheets on mental health and fractures.

We are currently looking at developing resources on Independent Living and plan to hold a series of virtual session in the near future.

The Trustee Board are pleased to announce that both Angela Stewart and Gareth Cumming were re-elected for a further 3 year term. All resolutions were passed including the proposal for the Charity to become incorporated. The Board are now working towards changing the Charity Status.  The FAQ for Proposed Incorporation can be viewed below along with our current Constitution and the new BBS Articles of Association.
