The Yeo Valley Lions recently held a charity golf tournament at Tall Pines Golf Course in Bristol. With over 140 golfers taking part this was the 7th annual charity golf day raising a huge £5600 for the Brittle Bone Society.
Trustee Gareth Cumming went along on the day and accepted the cheque on our behalf, giving thanks to all involved and raising awareness of OI and the Brittle Bone Society.
In the last 6 years the Yeo Valley Lions’ golf days have raised over £30,000 for charities with recipients including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Children’s Hospice South West, Weston Hospice care, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Blind Veterans UK.
A Lions spokesman said “Thanks are due not only to the competitors but to all who sponsored the day and to the staff at Tall Pines Golf Club for their help and encouragement in achieving this wonderful result for a very worthwhile cause”
