The below websites offer a wide range of resources that can be used to keep children entertained and to assist with home learning during the ongoing Covid19 isolation period.

Keeping Active


An NHS website full of  fun activities for keeping the kids active. You will also find lots of healthy recipes.

BBC Bitesize

Offers lots of resources for home schooling.

BBC Newsround 

Has lots of fun activities for kids of all ages from games, quizzes and puzzles, to the latest news.

Dekko Comics

12 issues of Dekko Comics have been uploaded online as a free resource to help with home-learning during the Covid-19 isolation.

BBC CBeebies for special needs

CBeebies has lots of useful resources and information for children with additional needs.


Produces a variety of different types of SEND resources for special needs children. The resources are suitable for special needs and mainstream schools, including ideas for home learning.

Storyline Online

Has lots of fun stories which can be streamed for viewing and listening to for free.


Personalised maths and spelling practice for children age 5 to 14.  Free resources have been made available for home schooling purposes.

Reading Eggs 

An online reading programme for children aged 2 to 13.

British Muesum

Many museum organisations in the UK and abroad are running virtual tours, for example the British Museum.

Roald Dahl

Lots of different activities to keep children indoors and entertained. There is also lesson plans for teachers and home schooling. 

National Geographic for kids has lots of fun and educational resources on animals, science, history and geography.
