BBS Research Funding

Funding Calls for Grants are currently closed.

The Scientific Advisory Board of the Brittle Bone Society issued its first call for proposals seeking applications for grants of up to £10,000 to support research into any aspect of Osteogenesis Imperfecta in June 2017.  You can find out more about all our winning projects here.

The Brittle Bone Society is an NIHR non-commercial partner, and as such any appropriate research studies funded through our eligible funding streams are automatically eligible for NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) support and therefore entitled to access NHS support via the NIHR Clinical Research Network.

The Brittle Bone Society are also members of the AMRC.  In 2021 we received a Certificate.pdf for passing the 3 yearly audit of our Peer Review process.

Patient Engagement

If you are a Researcher not looking for funding, but requesting access to patient engagement to assist with your research please complete the BBS-Research-Support-Request-Form.docx.

Due to the large amount of these requests we cannot commit to them all, and therefore the request form will be forwarded to our Scientific Advisory Board for approval.

Please refer to the Our Policies page for guidance.
